Here are the Definitions we have so far. Use each of these when you are reading to understand the scriptures. It’s like looking up a word in the dictionary, but applying the Biblical definition.
Grace – the power and desire to live for God.
Wisdom – taking the facts and acting thereupon.
Believe – (T.A.R.) trust in, adhere to, and rely upon God.
Worry – paying interest on a debt that never comes due.
Temperance – having full control of all your facilities at all times.
Patience – the ability to wait without complaining.
Obedience – complete compliance to all commandments from authority.
Covet – the desire to have what God is not pleased to give you.
Fear – when you think God cannot take care of a problem.
Leadership – obedience.
Fellowship – edifying one another.
Righteousness – the revealed knowledge of his word.
Supplication – earnestly and humbly in prayer.
Virtue – pureness.
Holiness – having the attributes of God.
If – it’s conditional.
Excuse – skin of a reason stretched over a lie.
Understanding – being aware of, the meaning of, the result of.
Good understanding – to depart from evil.
Spiritual understanding – what God considers and accepts to be.
Blessed – spiritually correct with God.
Spiritual courtesy – edifying; doing that which is right, for God, regardless of the cost.
Knowledge – retaining what you have been taught.
Saint – those who are right with God.
Theophany – physical appearance of God.
Godliness – doing the word of God; spiritual exercise.
Doctrine – outline of God’s expectations for the church.
Gospel – the power of God unto salvation.
Faith – the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hearing the word of God.
Confirmation – manifestation of the truth.
Revelation – manifestation of righteousness.
Kingdom of God – righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Provoke – to stir up on purpose.
Always – goes without any interruption.
Preposition – shows the position.
Mercy – being kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Repentance – total permanent about-face; death.
